Piper Pass Sept. 2020

It was a cloudy and smoky day for this hike, but the temperature was quite pleasant. After a bit more than 5km along the old road, we had some trouble finding the turn off for Piper Pass, finally getting on the proper trail after a couple of false starts. The trail up the Piper Creek valley was a bit overgrown, but the alpine pass area made the trip very worthwhile. A small scramble above the pass gave us better views - too bad the smoke blurred out many of the distant features. A long day, but worth the effort.
