Lipalian Mtn Sept. 2020

The day started cool and cloudy, but we got intervals of sunshine when we arrived at the high elevations. The wind, however, kept it cold up there, and there were still patches of the fresh snow that fell two days ago. The views were wonderful - long sightlines in every direction. After lunch by the summit of Lipalian, we did the 25 minute walk to the purple mound - well worth the extra effort. On the way back, we found a few scree sections which made for fast and fun descents. 17km; 1155m gross elev; 6:05 hrs
